Psychosomatic Disorders
This line of research investigates psychosomatic disorders, with a focus on functional (unexplained) GI disorders and their impact on mental and physical quality of life. We studied how conditions like irritable bowel syndrome and functional dyspepsia affect emotional well-being and daily functioning. By examining the interactions between physical and psychological symptoms, we aim to develop effective interventions for wellness enhancement. Our strategies seek to enhance clients' quality of life through a holistic understanding of these unexplained, complex disorders.
